Kim Seyesnem Obrzut

Young Blossom

9.5''H x 7''W

This sculpture is one of the smallest Bronze edition of Kim's Hopi Maidens available on this web site.

Her hair is adorned with the ''Pahos,'' the prayer feathers given to Hopi women to offer blessings and protection to the wearer.

Her jewelry symbolizes her family's wealth, and jewelry is passed on to the next generation.

She has no face for she symbolizes the egalitarian society of the Hopi people, not an individual. The Hopi thought is: One Mind, one body, one Spirit.

This starting sculpture is priced for the beginning collector in mind and, while it is an open edition, it is cast in a limited number each year for a select few of the Art Shows we attend.
